Dine out on Thanksgiving in Rochester

Thanksgiving Meal Rochester NY

Some years, you simply want to sit back and relax. Is this one of those years for you? Or am I the only one a little tired this year? With all of the delicious restaurants in Rochester, I found a few that are open this Thanksgiving (that P.S is 3 days away). THAT CAME QUICK!

Char Steak & Lounge at the Strathallan. Since opening in 2012, Char has been THE place to dine with its' extensive wine list and big city feel. They will be open on Thanksgiving from 1-7pm. I recommend the almond-crusted jumbo sea scallops!

Perlos located in East Rochester. It has the BEST Italian and American cuisine around. OK, I'm a little biased. I think I'll skip the turkey and take their penne vodka this year instead. Plus, they recently renovated so it's worth checking them out.

del Lago Resort & Casino: need I say more? del Lago has a Thanksgiving 3 course meal or a buffet for $21.99 per person. Well you're there you might as well try your luck with over 1956 slot machines or one of the 99 game tables!

Richardson Canal House: located on the Erie Canal. Richardson Canal House is actually the oldest Inn on the canal. They will be serving dinner from 1-6pm and the cost is $55 per person.

Woodcliff Hotel & Spa: There will be two dining options - a buffet in ballroom and a four course dinner at the Horizons Restaurant. Why not stay the night and check out the spa as well!?

Dinosaur BBQ: yep, that's right! They offer Thanksgiving meals, brined and smoked turkey included!

The Red Fern: They sell vegan meals that are available to be picked up for $18 per person.

Nick Sea Breeze Inn: Plenty to choose from in addition to turkey on Thanksgiving. Not only do they have the best Antipasto Bar in town (no really they do), but their service is just as good too!

Red Fedele's Brook House: Open noon-5pm. I bet this one wins for best Thanksgiving buffet! $29 per person. Bonus kids under 5 eat for FREE! Kids 6-12 eat for half price.

Let me know what gems I left out. Where will you be this Thanksgiving?

And whether you decide to stay in or go out, it is always important to take a few minutes to remember everyone and everything you are grateful for. Life IS busy, but it's important to remember what's really important. What are you thankful for this Thanksgiving?
